What is BrainXtra?

The BrainXtra Visual Enrichment © program is an individually customised, integrated computer-based exercise program. It requiries a personal computer using the Windows operating system. Students undertake 4 to 5 training sessions per week, each of an average of 10-20 minutes duration, for a recommended period of 3-4 months.

Individually Designed Training Program: The training program is individually customised to work at the appropriate level of each individual student's unique mental ability.

A unique Student curriculum file is developed by BrainXtra for each student, to establish the correct degree of difficulty and routine of exercises, that best meets each individual person's unique level of cognitive functioning. The curriculum file is based on the student's biological age, relative reading and cognitive functioning age levels, and neurocognitive disposition.

The BrainXtra program is thus able to begin at the right neurocognitive match for the individual student and each training session sensitively extends demands on the individual's mental functioning ability levels across a significant range of core mental functions.

When purchasing the program, some basic information is required to enable BrainXtra to create the individual's unique exercise curriculum file. Any information collected by BrainXtra for this purpose is not shared with any third party, in accord with the BrainXtra privacy policy.

Training Guarantee: BrainXtra endeavors to provide the best quality training experience possible. However, developmental results will differ from one individual to another, as they are directly dependent on a number of influencing factors including:
  • the frequency and total amount of contact training time spent on the program
  • the personal motivation, the degree of mental engagement with the program
  • the training environment
  • and each student's unique neurocognitive predisposition

All of these factors have a combined direct influence on the individual's actual developmental progresss.

A significant number of case study educational research results have confirmed the high validity and effectiveness of the programs towards the development of cognitive functioning.

Results presented on this website that were achieved by specific individuals working with the program should be seen as indications of possible improvement and developmental progress, and can not be seen as guarantees of specific results for every individual.
